Are you a mum who loves to surf? You’ve come to the right place.
SurferMums is a club for mums who have young children but still want to get into the water.
It’s like a babysitting club on the beach.

This is how it works. As a SurferMum, you’ll be invited to regular meets to chat, share news, tell stories and go surfing. You’ll meet other mums (and dads!) and be able to set up ‘surf dates’.
It’s up to you to get to know each other and decide when and where to surf. That way, you’ll know who’s looking after your kids while you’re carving it up (or learning how to!).

From time to time, we’ll organise extra activities, such as camping weekends near the beach and surf lessons for mums and young kids. At the meets, there will be a large sunshade, a roped-off area for the safety of the kids and a First Aid kit.

Members need to bring their own sunscreen, sun safe clothing and swim vests for their kids, beach games, towels, food and water.

The SurferMums model is based on Byron Bay’s Surfing Mums Inc. In future, SurferMums could ‘host’ members from other states and vice versa.

SurferMums is a branch of SurferGirls SA and mums will have access to all of the club’s activities. Download our membership form here and find out about membership fees.
